캐나다 온타리오 주에서 제가 쓰던 차를 팔기 위해서 Used Vehicle Information Package(UVIP)를 구입하였습니다.
이 Package는 중고차를 판매하려는 사람은 반드시 구입을 해야 합니다.
이 Package 안에 Used Vehicle Information Sheet(UVIS)가 있어서 소개를 해 보고자 합니다.

Read all information carefully

Show the UVIP and this UVIS to all interested buyers

Once a buyer has been found, sign the bill of sale portion of the UVIP and record the date and purchase price.

Give the entire package to the buyer.

Complete and sign the Application for Transfer located on the “vehicle portion” of the registration permit and give it to the buyer. Keep the “plate" portion of your own use. You will need this portion if you put your license plates on another vehicle, or wish to return them for credit/refund.

Remove and keep your license plates, as well, as any other personal items.

Failure to show the USIP to all interested buyers and failure to give the package to the buyer are offences under the Highway Traffic Act.

The buyer’s responsibilities

Read the information included in the package carefully before you buy the vehicle. Check out a suspicious vehicle history. Further information may be obtained from the Ministry of Transportation.

If you wish the vehicle status to be ‘FIT’, you must obtain a Safety Standards Certificate (if the vehicle does not already have one).
The ServiceOntario Centre/Driver and Vehicle License Issuing Office will require the following: valid insurance information, the Safety Standards Certificate (if you intend to drive the vehicle immediately); the Application for Transfer (vehicle portion of permit); your Ontario Driver’s License or other identification; plate portion of permit (if using existing license plate); the UVIP; sufficient payment for retail sales tax; vehicle registration fees; and, if required, new license plates.
Your vehicle may also require a Drive Clean Emissions test.
